1989 Gibson Chet Atkins CEC - Insanely Rare Factory White (Aged to Cream / Checked) Original Case
Up for sale is an incredibly rare piece of Gibson history:
a 1989 Gibson Chet Atkins CEC finished in an insanely rare factory White finish.
While the vast majority of these pioneering nylon-string acoustic-electric guitars left the factory in Natural or Wine Red, this ultra-rare white model has aged into an absolute masterpiece of vintage vibe. Over the last nearly four decades, the original white finish has severely yellowed into a gorgeous, creamy vintage hue and developed a stunning network of appealing finish crazing lines checking all over the body.
It looks like an absolute rockstar on stage and possesses a mojo that modern reissues simply cannot replicate.
Built in the USA on the 76th day of 1989, this CEC features the desirable solid mahogany body with a select cedar top, a comfortable 2-inch nut width, and a rosewood fingerboard. It is equipped with its original, groundbreaking multi-transducer bridge pickup system with individual string volume adjustments on the back cavity, allowing for pristine, feedback-free nylon-string tone at any volume.
The guitar plays beautifully with comfortable action, excellent fret life, and that signature warm, articulate Chet Atkins voice. It comes complete with its original Gibson brown hardshell case featuring its period-correct plush green interior, which is in great shape with working latches.
Don't miss this chance to own a highly collectible, stunningly aged, and exceptionally rare piece of Gibson history.
