The 22" Crash of Doom is all about big, dark, complex character. This is a large, heavy-sounding effects crash with a deep, trashy voice and a huge amount of low-end. It has a loose, explosive response when you hit it hard, with plenty of dark overtones and a dirty, slightly gong-like character that gives it a sound all its own.

Despite the name, this isn't just a cymbal for occasional effects. The Crash of Doom can be used for massive accents, dramatic crashes, and big musical moments where you want the cymbal to completely open up and fill the room. It has a long, dark decay that hangs in the air and creates a huge wall of sound. It also works great when paired with more traditional crashes or rides, giving you a completely different sonic color to pull out when the music calls for it.

If you're looking for a crash that sounds bright, clean, and controlled, this probably isn't it. If you want something dark, trashy, powerful, and unmistakable, the Crash of Doom delivers.
