DESCRIPTION
The Martin D-X1E Koa combines the familiar power and projection of a dreadnought with a durable figured Koa HPL construction and modern stage-ready features. Its D-14 fret body delivers a full, strong acoustic voice with plenty of low-end presence, making it a versatile choice for strumming, songwriting, live performance, and recording.

The figured Koa HPL top, back, and sides give the guitar its distinctive koa appearance while offering a construction that is well suited to regular playing and changing environments. Scalloped X-bracing helps the dreadnought body produce a lively, projecting response, while the Performing Artist neck profile and 1.75-inch nut provide a comfortable platform for both strumming and fingerstyle playing.

For amplified performance, the D-X1E is equipped with Martin E-1 electronics, including a built-in chromatic tuner along with volume, tone, and phase controls. The guitar also features a Richlite fingerboard and bridge, satin chrome closed-gear tuners, and a white TUSQ saddle.

The D-X1E Koa is supplied with a Martin softshell case and comes strung with Martin Authentic Acoustic Lifespan 2.0 phosphor bronze light-gauge strings. It offers the classic Martin dreadnought format in a durable, contemporary X Series package.
