This is a 1966 Blackface Fender Deluxe Reverb, one of the most coveted and recorded amps in history.
Bill Carruth, amazing amplifier technician (Trey Anastasio, Bill Frisell) modded Phish’s Trey Anastasio’s 1967 Fender Deluxe Reverb and I had him completely go through this 1966 amplifier and replace all needed capacitors and resistors with his selected replacements as well as modify the second channel (very easy to undo). It has phenomenal tone with all guitars with incredible harmonics.
Then maintained by amazing amplifier tech/instrument repair/builder John Freed twice, and given a clean bill of health last week (9/15/26).
This is a special collector/player’s piece. It is not an untouched completely original amp however it is amazing sounding amplifier that is ready for top class recording and performance or just to add to your collection.
Original Transformers, pots, reverb tank. Recapped capacitors and resistors (by Bill Carruth), new tremolo pedal. It appears to be an original or period Oxford speaker. Now has grounded plug. Modded to have a different tonal sound in channel 2 (one treble bleed capacitor has been by-passed, easy to return to original). NOS 6v6 power tubes.
These amps continue to increase in value over the long term.
