Gibson Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble, Vintage Tobacco Burst 2026

The Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble offers all the features and performance of our standard Les Paul Standard 50s models, but with even greater vintage appeal. These limited-edition Les Paul models differ from our standard Les Paul Standard 50s models in two ways. First, the Burstbucker™ 1 and Burstbucker 2 pickups are uncovered, each featuring Double Classic White bobbins and standard Alnico 2 magnets. The second difference lies in the finish. The finish colors are "Vintage" variations of our standard nitrocellulose lacquer finishes. While our standard gloss nitrocellulose finishes replicate the look of brand-new 1950s models, the Vintage gloss nitrocellulose finishes on the Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble models appear slightly faded compared to the standard versions—mimicking the subtle vintage aging that occurs over many years. The burst patterns vary slightly from guitar to guitar, as each instrument is individually hand-painted. Naturally, all the standard features that make the Les Paul Standard 50s models so beloved are still present, including a solid, non-weight-relieved mahogany body with an AA figured maple top, and a Vintage '50s-style rounded mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard, 22 medium-jumbo frets, and trapezoid inlays.

Gibson hardshell case

The Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble is equipped with an ABR-1 (the classic Tune-O-Matic™ bridge), an aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons, and Gold-Antiqued Top Hat knobs with pointers. The calibrated, uncovered Burstbucker™ 1 (neck) and Burstbucker 2 (bridge) pickups are internally identical to their standard Burstbucker counterparts, with the exception of the Double Classic White bobbins. They are handcrafted in the Gibson Pickup Shop, equipped with Alnico 2 magnets, and hand-wired with audio-taper potentiometers and Orange Drop® capacitors. The Double Classic White pickup bobbins and Vintage finishes combine to give the Les Paul Standard 50s Double Trouble an elegant vintage vibe. Despite the vintage-style finish and accessible price point, production is limited to just 500 guitars per color; availability is limited, so hurry and grab your favorite while you still can!
