Here’s a classic 1950s Montgomery Ward Airline parlor guitar, made by Harmony in Chicago. Model H8286 (sometimes listed as 8286), produced from 1954 into the early 1960s (this one dates to 1954). These were catalog “blues boxes” based on the Harmony Stella design—compact, ladder-braced, all-solid birch construction that delivers the raw, punchy, mid-forward tone these little guitars are famous for. Straight neck. No caving in around the sound hole. The pickup is modern but could be easily switched out with a vintage goldfoil.
Don't miss this great piece of American guitar history!
