Seymour Duncan SSL-1 Vintage Staggered for Strat Calibrated Set Pickup

The SSL-1 Vintage Staggered delivers articulate, punchy single-coil character with the clarity and chime that defined classic Strat tone. This calibrated three-pickup set combines hand-wound construction with intelligent noise-cancellation engineering, making it a straightforward drop-in replacement for players seeking authentic vintage voicing without the 60-cycle hum that plagued traditional single-coil designs.

Tone & Output

With a resonant peak at 10 kHz and balanced neck and bridge outputs of 18.6 mV each, these pickups emphasize clarity and articulation across the frequency spectrum. The 5/3/9 EQ curve (Bass/Mid/Treble) preserves classic single-coil sparkle while taming harshness, delivering responsive dynamics that respond naturally to pick attack and playing dynamics.

Construction & Design

Each pickup features hand-ground Alnico 5 rod magnets and heavy Formvar magnet wire for refined magnetic coupling and tonal definition. The set includes a reverse-wind reverse-polarity (RWRP) middle pickup that cancels hum in the classic in-between switch positions, while the white vintage-style cover with keyed bottom plate preserves authentic aesthetics without compromising performance.
