A new color model created with the concept of delivering a versatile clean tone!

While the Hyperion™ pickups were co-developed with Seymour Duncan® specifically for the AZ series, the Fortuna™ pickups—exclusive to the AZ-N—were developed to offer an even more natural clean tone suitable for a wider range of genres and to make expressing playing nuances easier. These medium-output pickups are designed to pair well with various effect pedals, allowing for versatility across different musical situations.

They feature the dyna-MIX 9 switching system, which—in combination with the Alter Switch—offers nine distinct sound variations, including a mode that wires the two single-coil pickups in series.

The AZ-N model is equipped with the T1702B tremolo bridge, featuring brass saddles and an inertia block that deliver a warm yet bright tone and excellent resonance.

It utilizes a narrow string spacing design (10.5mm), facilitating the kind of string-crossing picking required by players who frequently use techniques like string skipping and hybrid picking.

The bridge also employs a socket compatible with both standard Ibanez Edge tremolo arms and the Ultra-Lite Tremolo Arm (carbon fiber/UTA20/sold separately), allowing for snap-in installation without the need to screw the arm in. The arm's torque can be easily adjusted by rotating the torque cap at the mounting point. Additionally, it comes standard with a stud lock mechanism; set screws embedded in the studs securely lock them in place, significantly contributing to tuning stability and resonance.

The neck is crafted from maple treated with "S-TECH WOOD" technology—a nitrogen-heating process. S-TECH treated wood is characterized by superior dimensional stability, warp resistance, water resistance, and durability against temperature fluctuations; this process is a patented technology in Japan.
