Gibson Explorer - Professional Replay Guitars Pelham Blue Refinish - OHSC

Beautiful Gibson Explorer professionally refinished in metallic Pelham Blue by Replay Guitar Exchange.

The guitar was purchased new for $2,499 and sent directly to Replay for the refinish, which was approximately $1,300. The entire guitar was professionally finished, including the body, neck and headstock. The original Gibson serial number remains visible beneath the finish and matches the included Gibson paperwork.

The Explorer has its original BurstBucker pickups, knobs and hardware. It sounds fantastic — this particular Explorer has a surprisingly hot, aggressive sound for a BurstBucker-equipped Gibson while still cleaning up like you’d expect from the pickups.

It weighs approximately 8.4 lb on my scale and balances very well, both seated and standing.

Condition is very good overall. It has been played, so I’m not representing it as mint. There are no dings or gouges, just normal pick marks. I’ve tried to photograph the guitar closely and honestly, including the body edges, neck, headstock and finish. Please look through all of the photos for the best representation of condition. The action is low and is set up with 9-46 elixirs in E flat. you may need to set up to your liking. The Truss Rod works and moves freely.

Includes the original Gibson hardshell case, Gibson paperwork/checklist and pictured case candy/accessories.

The only reason I’m selling is personal preference. I’ve moved toward a slightly narrower neck profile and this one isn’t getting played enough to justify keeping it. There’s nothing wrong with the guitar, and it’s an exceptionally good-sounding Explorer.
