One of several professional clarinets we are offering for sale. This is a Buffet Crampon R13 Bb clarinet in silver plate. S/n 189XXX makes this 1978—right at the end of Buffet’s Golden Era and just a couple years after their 150th anniversary. It is in exceptional condition:  wood is a nice billet of heavy, aged grenadilla with a tight, straight grain, no chips, cracks or repairs, and squared tenons with no wobble between joints. Plating is about 99.5% with little if any wear at all. Just through the shop in September, 2026 where it was bore oiled, had all new tenon corks installed, and was repadded with Valentino Master’s Series white synthetic pads—one of the quietest, most reliable pads available. Plays very nicely across all ranges with a light touch, an open feel and a big, dark tone with lots of projection. Leblanc bore oiling kit and cork grease are for local pickup only and will NOT be shipped, but it does include a bunch of other extras:  two pad savers, a new ProTec microfiber cloth, new SuperSlick chamois swab, a classy clarinet stand, Mitchell Lurie mouthpiece in the M3 facing, and a humidity control pack. All in an oversize ProTec case with internal and external pockets, room for full-sized music and lots of accessories, and shoulder strap.
