K Zildjian Constantinople 22" Hi Bell Thin High
From my cymbal vault. This K Zildjian Constantinople 22" Hi Bell Thin High is an incredible sounding cymbal. This cymbal feature a distinct, slightly raised higher-profile bell modeled after a vintage Zildjian orchestral cymbal, delivering a crisp, clear, and projecting bell sound. The light weight provides a lush and complex dark wash, quick response, and a slightly higher fundamental pitch than low-profile models.
This was available for only 4 years. One reason was that it was extremely tough to manufacture. Check this out. The laws of physics dictate that a high-profile bell creates a bright, high-pitched ring and tight stick definition. However, a paper-thin body creates a massive, dark, roaring wash. This means the failure rate during manufacturing had to be extremely high. If it didn't come out perfect it was melted.
