Up for sale is a vintage Roland Sound Canvas SC-55 desktop MIDI sound module—the definitive benchmark unit for General MIDI (GM) and Roland GS standards. Renowned as the gold standard for 90s PC/DOS retro gaming soundtrack playback (perfect for hearing classics like Doom, Descent, and Duke Nukem 3D as the composers intended), it’s also an iconic addition to modern studio setups looking for authentic early-90s digital tones.
Condition & Functionality

• Condition: Fair / Good overall cosmetic condition. Please note there is a visible dent in the chassis casing from normal use over time (see photos for detail). I am not the original owner and bought this unit in it's current condition so I won't be able to offer any insight as to how the chassis/case was dented. It does work as expected, thoguh.
  
• Functionality: 100% fully operational despite the cosmetic chassis dent. All buttons, display panel, volume controls, MIDI ports, and audio inputs/outputs have been tested and work crisp and clear.
  
• Power Supply: Requires a standard 9V DC center-negative power adapter (not included). Unit is powered up in a couple of the pics. I used a universal PSU to do this. These power supplies are readily available from Amazon.
