Conn 18H .500 Bore 1993 - Lacquer
Conn has used the 18h designation for several different horns, including one with a copper bell. This one is from much later, during a time when the 18h was a 500 horn with an 8" bell. It would made up well with a 6H slide, or as a replacement for 0.500 Bell that's been damaged.
I'm guessing at the date, because I'm not sure which numbers in the serial number are the prefix. There are two numbers before the serial number itself but those numbers are one and two, and that would make it a 1962, which I am certain it is not.
The tuning slide works well, and the only significant damage to the horn was at the apex of the tuning slide crook, where a dent had occurred and was taken out.
It does not have a case or a slide. I will pack it very carefully and ship it fully insured.
