• Dry: An unprocessed setting that amplifies your pickup’s sound.
• XY: This mode mirrors a classic dual-microphone XY pattern, offering a focused stereo image that provides ample balance and rich resonance.
• AB: A wider stereo mic setup that grants you a bigger, bolder sound — Sweetwater guitarists particularly prefer AB for fingerpicking and solo guitar applications.
• ORTF: This setting merges elements from both XY and a spaced-pair approach. Sonic focus is the name of the game here, with cavernous depth and formidable body resonance.
• Mid-side: Lastly, Mid-side unlocks an exceptionally defined response with a rich stereo spread. This one is a must-have when playing within an ensemble or providing accompaniment for a vocalist.
