2009 PRS SC 245 – Flame Maple Top – USA Core – Original Hard Case
For sale is this beautiful 2009 Paul Reed Smith SC 245, serial number 09 150659, made in the USA.
The SC 245 is PRS’s take on the classic short-scale, single-cutaway design, combining a substantial mahogany construction with a beautifully carved flame maple top and PRS’s renowned build quality.
It features a mahogany body, carved flame maple top and a Wide Fat mahogany neck with a comfortable 24.5” scale length. The rosewood fingerboard has 22 frets and elegant abalone Dot Bird inlays.
The 57/08 pickups are a big part of the appeal. PRS designed them around vintage PAF-style characteristics, and compared with hotter modern PRS pickups they’re generally more open, dynamic and articulate. The bridge has enough push for a thick rock sound without becoming overly compressed; the neck can be warm and vocal while retaining definition. The middle position is especially nice when you want that woody, almost hollow quality from two vintage-style humbuckers.
Hardware is chrome throughout, with a PRS Stop Tail bridge and vintage-style tuners.
The flame maple top is particularly attractive, with strong figuring visible across the entire body and a beautiful vintage-style sunburst finish. The mahogany back and neck are finished in a deep transparent red.
The guitar comes with its PRS hardshell case as pictured.
