A fully analog unit with four presets — CLN1, CLN2, Edge, and Distortion — faithfully reproducing the sound of the original X100.
The X100 earned high praise for its distinctive drive sound and crystal-clear chorus effect, and for its versatility as a unit that could be plugged directly into a recording console. It was valued as much more than a simple headphone amp — as a genuinely capable recording tool. This reissue, developed with the cooperation of longtime MXR/SR&D engineer Bob Cedro, faithfully recreates the crisp, harmonically rich distortion, the crystalline clean tone, and the chorus sound reminiscent of that era's arena rock. The signature chorus effect uses an 'MN3007' BBD chip.
