There are a handful of amp brands that just scream Rock & Roll, and Park sits right at the top of that list! “Park” was born out of the Rose Morris distribution deal Jim Marshall signed in 1965. While this agreement allowed Marshall to expand its reach, it also made Rose Morris the exclusive distributor of Marshall amplifiers in the UK, leaving others unable to sell them. Thanks to some clever contract verbiage, Marshall was still permitted to manufacture amplifiers for other UK distributors, just under a different name, and that is where Park was born. We couldn’t be more excited to offer this incredible 1966 Park P45 head, which delivers all of the sound, character, and attitude we’ve come to expect from a small-box British head while somehow being clean enough to look like it just rolled off the Marshall factory floor yesterday! Loaded with a fantastic selection of vintage and valuable tubes (or valves, for our friends across the pond), this P45 sounds every bit as good as it looks. From glistening, crystalline cleans to the crunchy, blazing overdrive we’re all constantly chasing, this amp delivers that iconic British roar for days. The amp has received the standard bias/filter cap service, along with the addition of an internal bias trim pot. The feet and power cord have also been replaced, but otherwise this example remains original. All of this work has been expertly executed by Mitch Colby. This is the kind of amplifier that checks all the right boxes: looks, sound, incredible condition, and unmistakable tone and attitude.
