Buddy Guy Signature Stratocaster – Heavily Modified / Custom Stage-Inspired Build

This is a Buddy Guy Signature Stratocaster in the iconic black-and-white polka-dot finish, heavily modified to bring it as close as possible to the specifications and setup associated with Buddy Guy’s own stage guitars.

This is much more than a stock Buddy Guy Signature Strat. The guitar has been extensively upgraded and rewired with performance and tone in mind.

Modifications & Upgrades

• Gold Lace Sensor pickups for a unique, articulate tone while retaining the Strat character
• Fender TBX/Boost system installed underneath the pickguard, providing additional tonal versatility and output
• Completely rewired for improved functionality and reliability
• Bone nut installed for improved string stability, resonance, and feel
• Retains the classic black-and-white Buddy Guy polka-dot aesthetic
• Heavily modified to create a stage-inspired Buddy Guy configuration

The goal of the build was to get this guitar as close to recreate the older Buddy Guy Signature electronics package, including the Lace Gold pickups and boost circuit.

The combination of the Lace pickups, Fender boost electronics, bone nut, and complete rewiring gives this guitar a significantly different character than a standard Buddy Guy Signature Strat.

A Unique Buddy Guy Tribute

If you’re looking for a Buddy Guy Signature Strat that’s already been extensively upgraded rather than simply buying a stock example, this is a very cool opportunity. It has the unmistakable Buddy Guy look, but the electronics and setup have been substantially customized.

Please look closely at all photos for the overall condition and modifications.

This guitar is being sold as a modified Buddy Guy Signature Stratocaster and is not represented as an original Buddy Guy-owned or stage-used instrument
