I have a 2026 Gibson ES 339 here with its hard shell case. I don't have the factory paperwork with this one, but I assure you it is unequivocally genuine.
Conditionally, this guitar looks outstanding, as a 2026 model should.
The body top shows no notable playwear. Any guitar pick strumming will be on the film sticker sleeve protector that is on the plastic pickguard. I'll let you peel that off when you're ready.
The body sides/edges look great. I found one little surface scratch on the lower body edge, about the same intensity as guitar pick strumming. There are no actual penetrating finish scratches. I didn't find any bumps, indentations, or chips. Any superficial swirling will be absolutely minimal to nonexistent.
The body back shows three tiny surface indentations in the central body back position that are a millimeter or less in size. These do not break the finish. It has no buckle rash or worming, nor did I find any buildup of soft, low intensity pattern playwear. The surface looks fantastic throughout.
The neck looks as clean as the body. I did not find any chips or dings, and there is no fretwear. The setup plays fantastic, like butter. The original electronics are working as they should, and the hard shell case is in excellent condition.
This one rates a 9.6/10 and grades as excellent. I found no notable playwear and minimal traces of use on this one. I estimate the guitar has had about 20 careful hours of playtime only. It's a nice opportunity to score this year's model at a great price. It is structurally and sonically sound and plays phenomenal.
This guitar is pretty much a tone machine of a semi hollowbody. It is known as a trimmer smaller version of an ES-335. I feel that it feels to my hands like a denser more compact overall build though and it has a very strong low end presence to go with the naturally occurring open, singing midrange tone that you get from a semi hollowbody. I feel that the shape of the body is part of it's tonal identity, though smaller then many other semi hollow's it does not sound "small" it has nice density and solidity to it. I don't feel like i am handling something that i am afraid is gonna break like i would with a large dainty hollowbody guitar. The tone is concise and powerful.
As a fan of solid body guitars mostly myself. I find that this one is missing very little of what i like in a solid body, i have played it with gain and overdrive and it handles that fine, this guitar is completely at home with heavier tones on my Mesa Rectifier. It's cleans are very articulate and deep.
It's extremely comfortable and that again is part of what defines it in comparison to other ES's. The neck profile and body contours are very comfy, i find it an easy guitar to just pick up at a moments notice and jam with.
I will immaculately pack it as well. I use quality shipping boxes, ample tape on all sides. And sufficient bubble wrap filler and bracing inside the box. And always Marked/denoted as fragile. I generally detune guitars 1/2 half step prior to shipment as well if needed.
