I have owned several Strat Plus guitars from the late 80's and early 90's. I find them to be consistently, very good instruments. This is the first one I've had in this gorgeous Caribbean Mist finish. This guitar has a different Lace Sensor pickup in the bridge. The original pickup is in the case, along with a bunch of the original case candy. Weight is 8 lbs 0 oz (on home postal scale - may be +/- 2 oz). The case is a tweed hardshell case -- not the original black molded case. (I never had the original case.)

I bought this guitar not long ago but find I tend to reach for my Silver Sky more. Like many Fender instruments from the 90's, this one has a lot of clear coat checking on the back of the neck. (Some of that is discussed on TDPRI -- . tdpri. com/threads /90s-necks-chipping-cracking.35419/ ). I tried to show it in one of the pics.

If I were keeping this guitar, I would rub the back of the neck with some fine steel wool. Other than that, this guitar is in very good to excellent condition. I rated it as good because I'd rather underpromise and over deliver.

Someone had asked questions about the neck clearcoat finish checking. It's really hard to get good pics of but I used a flashlight and got a few decent pics so I added those to the listing. You can feel it in some places and in some you can't. I didn't find it to affect playing either way.

He also asked about the pickup change. I didn't change it out so I'm not sure what the differences may be. I just wanted to disclose that I knew it had been changed and that the original pickup is there.
