Sadly, and against my better judgment, I have my Hofner up for sale to a good home.
This 2002 German made 500/2 Club Bass or Cavern bass is in remarkable condition for approaching 25 years old. The only thing keeping it from mint is two spots where the clear coat has started to cloud up or fog a bit. It’s not a big deal as far as playability or structural integrity. But it is there and is noticeable once you know about it. One portion on the back and one portion on the side.
Aside from that this bass is in beautiful condition. Everything is factory stock. I had a local luthier make a very small neck adjustment and clean the pots in March of this year. I also had him add a strap bolt to the body. I read people’s experiences of neck dive with that strap set-up, but I find it pretty balanced and super comfortable to play. It’s set up and ready to thump!
The case is not original like new. Fits a little snug, but serves its purpose well. No pickguard on or included. The holes are present and had one at one point.
