The Squier Paranormal Precision Bass Thinline SJ in Vintage White takes the foundational design of the original Fender bass and reimagines it as a lightweight, resonant semi-hollow instrument with an unconventional pickup configuration and unmistakable vintage style.

Its thinline Nyatoh body retains the classic '51 Precision Bass silhouette while adding semi-hollow construction for enhanced acoustic resonance and reduced weight. The result is a bass that feels lively in the hands and offers a distinctive response compared with a traditional solidbody Precision Bass.

The standout feature is its unique SJ pickup configuration. A Fender-Designed Alnico single-coil pickup delivers the deep, thumping character associated with early Precision Bass designs, while the Jazz Bass-style bridge position brings focused attack and growling definition. A 3-way blade selector makes it easy to move between the two voices or combine them, providing a broad palette that ranges from warm vintage bass tones to articulate, cutting sounds that sit confidently in a mix.

A maple neck with a comfortable "C" profile and 34" scale provides familiar long-scale playability. The maple fingerboard features a versatile 9.5" radius, 20 narrow-tall frets, and contrasting black dot inlays, while a 1.685" Micarta nut maintains the substantial feel associated with early Precision Bass necks.

Vintage-inspired hardware completes the package, including a 4-saddle bridge with barrel saddles, vintage-style tuning machines, skirted amp knobs, and chrome hardware. Finished in Vintage White with a 3-ply Parchment pickguard and maple fingerboard, the Paranormal Precision Bass Thinline SJ is a distinctive combination of early Fender aesthetics, semi-hollow resonance, and expanded tonal versatility.
