I am offering here a Gibson CS Songwriter Deluxe Custom AN from 2012, a handcrafted at the Gibson Custom Shop in Bozeman, Montana (USA), all solid-timber luxury acoustic guitar featuring a voluminous Square Shoulder Dreadnought body shape, select “AA” Sitka spruce top over an Advanced Red Spruce X-bracing, sides and back made of dark Indian rosewood, set mahogany neck with slim Comfort Contour neck profile and 43.8mm bone nut, bound rosewood fingerboard with elaborate Custom Shop Florentine mother-of-pearl inlays (!), gold Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners, as well as high-quality Fishman Ellipse Aura pickup system in a radiant Antique Natural high-gloss nitro finish with various embellishments made of mother-of-pearl, abalone, and precious woods, in mint collector’s condition, including black Gibson luxury hardshell case, manufacturer’s paperwork, and professional setup with 12-53 Elixir 80/20 strings.

This special Custom Shop version of the Gibson Songwriter Deluxe was crafted in Gibson’s renowned acoustic workshop in Bozeman, Montana, and features a classic vintage acoustic guitar design with excellent craftsmanship, high-end custom features, and numerous truly exceptionally beautiful abalone and mother-of-pearl inlays.

The instrument comes with a square-shoulder dreadnought body shape, and the classic tonewood combination of fine-grained “AA” grade Sitka spruce over Advanced Red Spruce X-bracing (!) and dark-grained Indian rosewood ensures a sparkling tone rich with overtones, the signature Gibson punch, as well as powerful, well-defined bass and singing treble. The sound is rich and orchestral in character and highly versatile—ideal for strumming, picking, and accompaniment, but fingerstyle players will also find it to their liking.

The factory-installed Fishman Ellipse Aura pickup system combines a piezo pickup with sophisticated imaging technology, offering four different lively and clear acoustic sound options at the push of a button.

With its 43.8mm wide bone nut, slim Comfort Contour neck profile, and low-action setup, the guitar is also extremely smooth to play.

The Gibson Custom Shop Songwriter Deluxe Custom is no longer produced in this configuration and is extremely rare.

This guitar is in mint collector’s condition and is technically flawless. Visually, there is only ocasional finest superficial wear, if any at all (see photos). The frets are practically flawless.
