Collings CJ45A-T with Adirondack spruce top, Honduran mahogany back and sides, sunburst finish, and professionally installed pickup. This is a terrific example of Collings' take on the classic slope-shoulder 1940s-era mahogany acoustic, combining vintage-inspired tone and aesthetics with Collings' exceptional workmanship and consistency.

The CJ45A-T is the Adirondack-topped version of the CJ45 Traditional, offering excellent headroom, strong projection, and the dry, woody fundamental that makes these guitars particularly appealing to bluegrass and flat pickers. It has plenty of power when played hard but retains excellent balance and clarity when played more gently.

Tone

The CJ45A-T has the combination that many players look for in a high-end slope-shoulder acoustic: dry, woody mahogany character with the additional headroom and responsiveness of Adirondack spruce. It has a strong fundamental, excellent note separation and plenty of punch for flatpicking.

This is an especially versatile acoustic for bluegrass, country, Americana and singer-songwriter playing, and it has enough projection to hold its own in an acoustic ensemble.

Condition

Very Good overall condition with normal light play wear for its age. There is a small nick nest to the pickup jack. Please see the photographs carefully for the cosmetic condition. No known structural issues.

The guitar has an installed pickup (make and model unknown), making it equally useful for live performance while retaining its excellent unplugged acoustic voice.

Includes the original hardshell case.
