1976 Thomas Organ Cry Baby – TDK 5103 – True Bypass

Vintage 1976 Thomas Organ Cry Baby, Model 95-910511, manufactured in Sepulveda, California.

This pedal retains the original vintage wah circuit, including the desirable TDK 5103 inductor, original potentiometer, original input/output jacks, original 9V battery connector, and all original circuit-board components.

The pedal arrived non-functional and was carefully serviced with the goal of preserving the original circuit.

Service included:

• Complete cleaning and inspection
• Original circuit board retained
• All original board components retained
• Board connections reflowed as necessary
• Original potentiometer retained
• Original input and output jacks retained
• Original battery connector retained
• Wiring replaced
• Broken original footswitch replaced
• New switch wired for true bypass
• Mechanical components cleaned and serviced
• Fully tested and functioning properly

No electronic components on the original circuit board were replaced.

The original TDK 5103 inductor remains in place.

Because the original footswitch was no longer functional, it was replaced and the pedal was wired for true bypass. This allows the original wah circuit to remain untouched while eliminating signal loading when the effect is bypassed.

Cosmetically, the enclosure is in very nice condition for its age, with normal wear and some scratches to the bottom plate. Please review the photographs closely, as they are part of the condition description.
