Schecter Simon Gallup Corsair bass in Red

Schecter Simon Gallup Corsair Electric Bass Red

The Corsair semi-hollowbody sits comfortably in your hands with naturally contoured body curves that make extended playing sessions effortless. This instrument delivers the aggressive sonic character that defined its namesake's work—punchy and articulate across the frequency spectrum, with pickups voiced to cut through dense arrangements without sacrificing warmth. The responsive neck and refined hardware combine to create a bass that feels equally at home in dark alternative soundscapes or high-definition studio work.

Playability & Feel

The thin "C"-shaped 3-piece maple neck measures 0.787" at the first fret and 0.866" at the 12th fret, providing a comfortable grip that sits naturally under your hand. A 34-inch scale length with 16-inch compound radius and 20 narrow jumbo frets offers excellent articulation and clarity, while the Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut (38mm) ensures stable intonation and crisp note definition.

Tone & Electronics

Two EMG Thunderbird pickups paired with a 2-Band EMG Active E and Q system give you surgical control over your tone—Master Volume, Blend, and EQ adjustments let you shape everything from warm, woody lows to bright, snappy mids. The semi-hollowbody maple construction with cream multi-ply binding and arched top adds resonance and complexity that solid-body designs cannot match.
