Living up to its namesake, Hades is brimming with distinctive, dark sonics, faithfully reproducing the specs of its predecessor (with a few quality-of-life improvements). With a single VCO, Hades is outfitted with a suite of sonic sculpting tools and 11 CV patch points to be easily integrated into almost any system. Moreover, the synth can be easily removed from its housing to be placed directly into a Eurorack configuration, if you’ve got the 42HP to spare. Each of Hades’ sub-octaves can be individually attenuated, delivering dimensional depth to your choice of sawtooth and square waveforms, with further character injected via pulse width control. Hone your tone with its euphonic 3-pole resonating lowpass filter and OTA distortion, eliciting luscious and vicious lows alike. An OTA VCA preserves your sonics at any level, further refined with flexible envelope generators: one AR, and one AD/RS that can be toggled for active control of the release parameter. Dreadbox’s triangle wave LFO covers a formidable range of frequencies for evocative performances, while a special internal bass boost circuit will take Hades into titanic territory.

To integrate into most setups, Hades can be removed from its housing to be used as a bona fide 42HP Eurorack module. Its patch points include CV outputs for envelope, LFO, modulation wheel, and 1v/oct, while its inputs cover PWM, filter cutoff, VCA, CV, and Gate parameters. If Eurorack isn’t your speed, then rest assured as Hades is outfitted with a versatile MIDI functionality. With a 3.5mm type A socket, your interface of choice can take over pitch, note on/off, mod wheel, and pitch wheel, with a toggled option for all channels or OMNI channel (via MIDI learn).
