Charvel 375 Deluxe MIJ Early 90s Cobalt Blue Metallic – Schaller – J-200R Dual-Rail – J-90C – Original Tweed-Style Case

Charvel 375 Deluxe MIJ Early 90s Cobalt Blue Metallic – Schaller – J-200R – J-90C – Original Tweed-Style Case

Up for sale is a Japanese-built Charvel 375 Deluxe in Cobalt Blue Metallic, dating from around 1990 and built during the Chushin Gakki era in Japan.

I am the second owner of this guitar. It previously belonged to a family member, and I have owned it since approximately 2000, so its ownership history is known.

SPECS & HARDWARE

• Bridge: Schaller tremolo, Floyd Rose licensed. Smooth operation and good tuning stability.

• Bridge Pickup: Jackson J-90C humbucker, a period-correct replacement fitted to the guitar. This ceramic-magnet, high-output pickup has an aggressive character, strong output and a clear, powerful response under gain. It gives the bridge position a punchy, aggressive classic Jackson/Charvel heavy-metal sound, particularly when used with high gain.

• Neck & Middle Pickups: Factory-original Jackson J-200R dual-rail pickups in single-coil format. These use dual blades/coils in a single-coil-sized housing, providing hum-cancelling operation with a thicker, fuller sound than a conventional single-coil.

• Tuners: Original Jackson tuners.

• Case: Original Charvel hard-shell case with tweed-style covering. The original interior has been modified to accommodate a pedalboard.

• Documentation: Original warranty paperwork included.

• Strap Buttons: Schaller-style strap locks are currently fitted; the original strap buttons are also included.

CONDITION

This is a player's-grade vintage guitar with normal cosmetic wear consistent with its age. It has been played and enjoyed over the years, but remains in very good overall condition for a 30+ year-old instrument.

For full transparency, the tip of the headstock was damaged more than 30 years ago and repaired at the time. The repair has remained stable for more than two decades. The repaired area is more visible from the rear of the headstock and is clearly shown in the photographs.

The repair does not affect the guitar's playability or tuning stability.

There are various small marks and signs of use throughout the instrument, consistent with its age. These are shown in the photographs, and no attempt has been made to hide or cosmetically disguise its history.

A JAPANESE CHARVEL WITH SERIOUS CHARACTER

A great-playing Japanese-made Charvel from the early 90s, with a particularly interesting combination of Schaller hardware, factory-original Jackson J-200R dual-rail pickups and a period-correct J-90C ceramic humbucker.

The J-90C gives the bridge position a powerful, aggressive voice with plenty of output and a strong response to distortion, while the J-200Rs provide thicker, quieter tones in the neck and middle positions.

Combined with the original tweed-style Charvel hard case, this is a distinctive vintage Japanese Charvel with plenty of character and a known ownership history.

The guitar will be securely packed and shipped inside its hard case.
