The Modern Deluxe series is where Martin's traditional vintage style meets modern innovation. Vintage-inspired details such as wood binding, a traditional dovetail neck joint, gold open-gear tuners, and delicate pearl inlays are combined with Martin's proprietary Vintage Tone System® (VTS) on the top, recreating the rich resonance and character of a guitar that has been played for decades.

Modern features include a carbon-fiber bridge plate, which enhances volume and responsiveness, and Martin's comfortable Vintage Deluxe neck profile. The result is a premium instrument that combines the best of Martin's traditional craftsmanship with modern design.

This is a beautiful 2023 used example of the 012-28 Modern Deluxe, one of the most vintage-inspired models in the Modern Deluxe series.

The small, comfortable 0-size body is paired with carefully selected tonewoods and modern construction techniques, providing excellent playability and sound quality.

The Liquidmetal bridge pins offer excellent durability, while the lightweight carbon-fiber bridge plate contributes to a fast response and enhanced volume.

The flame maple binding gives the guitar a distinctive and refreshing appearance that differs from Martin's traditional aesthetic.

With its wide 1-13/16" nut width, this model is particularly well suited to fingerstyle playing. It offers delicate expression and the clear, focused character of the Martin sound, while the VTS-treated top adds a warm, vintage-inspired tonal quality.

The response is remarkably quick and lively, giving the guitar a modern sense of articulation while retaining the warmth and depth associated with vintage instruments.

There are only minor scratches around the soundhole and on the body, and the guitar remains in very clean overall condition.

The refined tonal character of this instrument makes it suitable for a wide range of playing styles, particularly fingerstyle and other applications where clarity and responsiveness are important.
