The Wake Chorus is an excellent addition to anyone’s pedalboard. I did not replace the Wake. I only purchased a limited edition color scheme. In my FX loop I always had this pedal powered on. Even when the effect was turned down in volume, having the Wake always on just made everything sound sweeter and more pleasant to the ears. It did not matter if it was a clean or overdriven signal, a well as with other modulation.
I have multiple chorus pedals and switch out time to time. This one will always be in the collection. It will never be replaced.
