Ludwig's Legacy Mahogany snare is the 60s recipe built new: a 3-ply mahogany/poplar/mahogany shell with solid maple reinforcing rings, made in Monroe, North Carolina, the sound of a thousand records from the era when this was simply "a Ludwig". Warm, fat, and sensitive at 5x14, with Imperial lugs and the P85AC throw-off. This one is finished in Jumbo Black Pearl, the big-flake version of the classic black pearl wrap.
