For sale: an original black Klira ST electric guitar made in germany with a scalloped fretboard, built around 1970. This guitar is a "player": it was played often and enthusiastically, though likely not in the last 20 years. Just try looking for an American guitar model (like a Stratocaster) from around 1970—and check the price! Highly sought-after, increasingly rare, and nearly unaffordable! Do they really sound *that* much better? This German-made Klira ST sounds great, plays perfectly, and all controls work: 3 single-coil pickups, 1 volume pot, 2 tone pots, 1 three-way switch. Plastic parts have a nice yellowed patina. All chrome parts are still in good condition, including the tremolo arm. Custom-made aluminum knobs... a unique touch! Features a Biggsy-style tremolo system and a large headstock typical of the 60s/70s. Rosewood fretboard; frets are relatively low but very playable—and the scalloping makes it even better. Excellent action. Strung with new .012 GHS Boomers—great playability. Stevie Ray Vaughan set. Original tuners. Special feature: 61 cm scale length... suitable for smaller but strong hands (given the .012 gauge strings). Fretboard and neck in very good condition; the back of the neck has been sanded smooth and polished. The 21 frets have been inspected, leveled, and polished. Ready to play right away—whether at home or on stage. Weight: 3510 g. Normal signs of wear (road worn) on the body. Minimal (and desirable) hairline cracks in the finish.
