1971 Yamaha G60-A Classical. Nippon Gakki, Japan. Serial# 10516853, Guitar is in good condition, set-up and ready to play. Plays with ease and has a warm classical tone with good projection. 2" nut matched to 25.5" playscale. 18 frets with 19th extension all smooth on the ends and only showing light wear. New set of Augustine classic black nylon strings. Action is low at 2.75mm at the 12th fret. No buzzing. Bridge saddle has nearly all of it's adjustment left which is amazing considering this is a 55 year old guitar. I would say proof of quality craftsmanship. Body has no bulging and bridge is level. Multi-ply bindings have a yellow accent for nice lines. Tuners are original and ture easily and seem to hold well. Body is laminated Spruce top with Mahogany back and sides. Neck is secure in pocket. no splitting wood. No chips are deep scratches. No hidden repairs. Top has some light swirling in finish and a few pickmarks that are hard to see. Sides have a few scuffs and back has some light swirling and scratches plus some nicks from 5 decades of playing but all are expected light wear. This is a great guitar for the beginner as it is easy to play. Augustine strings work well with a light touch and are some what forgiving. Perfect for the player looking to add to the line up.
