Lovies Guitars is excited to present this Vintage! 1920 Martin 00-42 Brazilian Rosewood Adirondack Acoustic Guitar finished in Natural. This is a truly special early Martin, featuring Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, an Adirondack spruce top, and the highly desirable 00 body shape. Only 14 examples of the 00-42 were made in 1920, making this an exceptionally rare and historically significant Martin.

The 00-42 represents some of Martin's finest craftsmanship from the era, with its compact body offering a wonderfully balanced and intimate acoustic voice. The combination of Brazilian Rosewood and Adirondack spruce provides the kind of depth, projection, and harmonic complexity that vintage Martin collectors and players seek out.

This guitar has seen a number of professional repairs and updates over its more than 100 years of life. The bridge has been replaced, a pickguard has been added, and the neck has been reset. It has also been refretted with bar frets. One bridge pin has been replaced. The center seam has been repaired with cleats, and a 3-inch crack on the back has been professionally repaired without cleats. There is also a small crack at the pickguard and light finish checking throughout.

Despite its age and repair history, this example is pretty clean for a 106-year-old instrument and retains an incredible amount of vintage character. It comes with an Original Hardshell Case (OHSC).

Condition: 8.5/10 - Very Good. Center seam has been repaired with cleats. There is a repaired 3-inch crack on the back without cleats, along with a small crack at the pickguard and light overall finish checking. The bridge has been replaced, a pickguard has been added, the neck has been reset, and the guitar has been refretted with bar frets. One bridge pin has also been replaced. Pretty clean overall for its age.
