Trinity Tramp fully assembled guitar amp kit. These kits are no longer available from Trinity. Only completed Tramps are on there website, now. This kit was one of my first guitar amp builds. It turned out great and is going on 7 years and is still functioning great. It didn’t get a ton of use just because i tend to play amps that I build from scratch much more often. That doesn’t mean the Tramp isn’t a great amp. It is capable of using most popular octal output tubes thanx to a load switch and bias switch. A chart for the switch settings is in the pictures and will be included with the amp. The schematic and user manual can be found on Trinity Amps website for any questions or concerns. I‘m including an EL34 output tube with the amp. It’s my personal favorite tube to use with the Tramp but it’ll sound great and have different tones with all the tubes in the chart. The preamp tube is a 12ax7. The amp also has a VVR (variable voltage regulator) to lower and raise the wattage. It’s great for overdrive tones And playing at low ,one or two watt volumes. It acts like a variac that’s built into the amp and doesn’t affect the heater voltage. Eddie would love it! A preamp boost (PAB) input on the back is for an on/off footswitch. I’ll include a grounded plug with the amp that’ll enable the PAB. Any on/off footswitch with a 1/4 TS plug will work, tho. The volume knob pulls out to cut the negative feedback to increase gain and volume. The bass knob pulls out for a fat setting. The VVR power knob is also the on/off switch. Rather than a standby switch, just keep the power level knob on low for 30 seconds or so till the amp warms up. Then turn it up to desired level. The red mark is full power. Past the red mark is more power for 6v6 tube but its handy for raising the headroom while using higher power octal tubes like 6L6 or El34. The output jack has an extension and there is an impedance switch for 4,8, and 16 ohm speakers. Celestions sounds great with the EL34 and Jensen type speakers are great with 6v6 tube. Check out the video demo with sound below. A Revstar guitar with PAF pickup clones and a 12” WGS Invader speaker were used in the demo. A Keely spring reverb pedal was used, too. This listing is for the amp itself. No speaker cab or head cab is included.
