The Squier Paranormal Precision Bass Thinline SJ takes the familiar character of a Precision Bass and gives it a completely different personality. The semi-hollow thinline body adds a natural resonance and liveliness to the instrument while reducing its weight, making it especially comfortable for long rehearsals, recording sessions, or nights on stage. It still has the unmistakable shape and feel of a classic P Bass, but there's something more open and airy happening underneath the notes.

The real fun starts with the unconventional pickup combination. A Fender-Designed '51 P Bass single-coil in the neck delivers that deep, authoritative thump that makes the Precision such a legendary bass, while the Jazz Bass pickup at the bridge brings in extra growl, focus, and bite. With the 3-way blade switch, you can move between those distinct voices or combine them for a surprisingly broad range of sounds. Whether you're holding down a warm pocket or looking for a more aggressive voice that cuts through guitars and drums, this bass gives you plenty of ways to find your place in the mix.

The comfortable C-shaped neck and satin urethane finish make the Paranormal Precision Bass Thinline SJ feel easy and familiar in the hands, while the vintage-style bridge and open-gear tuners keep the overall character rooted in Fender tradition. It's a bass that looks familiar enough to feel at home in any lineup but has enough individuality to make players take notice. If you've always loved the sound of a Precision but want something lighter, more resonant, and a little outside the usual formula, this Paranormal model is a particularly fun way to shake things up.
