Jazzmaster listing

I'm selling my beloved Fender Road Worn 60s Jazzmaster, upgraded with a Mastery M1 bridge. I bought this guitar from Chicago Music Exchange back in 2016, have loved it for 10 years, and now find myself with more instruments than I space for, so I'm letting it go. Everything on it works great, the truss rod is very responsive, and the neck is straight (I attempted to show this in the pictures but it's hard to photograph well). I currently have 11-guage strings on it, which I think feel great on this guitar. It will be packed in a nicely-padded Fender gig bag, and will be shipped in one of Reverb's standard shipping boxes. I've shipped a few guitars now with no issues, and feel very confidant in my ability to package a guitar to ensure its safety.

Upgrades and Modifications:

• M1 Mastery Bridge: I quickly upgraded the vintage-style bridge with a Mastery M1, which was pricey ($180 for the kit at the time), but is a huge improvement and was a worthwhile investment. It works beautifully and has no issues.
• Neck Shims: Two StewMac neck pocket shims were added to increase the neck angle by 0.75 degrees. This increases the total "break-angle" on the bridge, putting more downward force on it, improving sustain and addressing some of the string buzz issues associated with vintage-style Jazzmasters (although the Mastery bridge largely solves this quirk on its own). The StewMac shims are cut to fit the neck pocket perfectly, so there's no loss of wood-on-wood contact between the neck and body. If you end up buying this guitar, I highly recommend checking out Mike and Mike's Guitar Bar's blog "Demystifying the Jazzmaster", which I took a lot of guidance from while working on this guitar:
• Red Tortoise 3-ply Pickguard: This guitar came stock with a white pickguard, which I replaced with a faux-tortoise shell one from the STRATosphere parts store, which I much prefer the look of. I unfortunately no longer have the original white guard, otherwise I would include it with the shipped guitar.
• Additional String Tree: I added a second string tree on the D & G string, to further increase downforce on the nut and thereby increase sustain.
• Relicing: This guitar is part of Fender's "Road Worn" series, which comes with light to medium relicing. Largely this entails the lacquer on the neck being very worn down (feels great!), some checking and dings on the body, and some dulling of the metal hardware to make it look less shiny and new. I was drawn to this because I feel completely in love with an actual 60s Jazzmaster at my local guitar store that was very worn-in and felt incredible, and I wanted a guitar with that feel for a lower price. While I have played this guitar for 10 years, I'm pretty careful with my instruments and the vast majority of the finish wear is from the factory. The one that definitely is from me is the small burn on the headstock behind the low-E tuner, which was me trying to replicate the real 60s Jazzmaster I loved that had a similar burn, presumably from one of it's owners placing a lit cigaret there, which I thought looked cool as hell. It's worth noting however that I DO NOT smoke, never have, and this guitar has no smoke smell to it.
