This is an exceptionally clean 1959 Fender Duo-Sonic in Desert Sand, serial number 38935, with its original hard case.

I personally knew the previous owner. He received the guitar as a gift, took only a few guitar lessons, and played it very little. He later passed it on to my son, who played it even less. The guitar therefore saw remarkably limited use and spent the overwhelming majority of its life stored in its case.

Before offering it for sale, we took the guitar to a professional music shop to have it cleaned, restrung, and inspected. The shop was extremely enthusiastic about the instrument and advised us that it is 100% original.

The guitar remains exceptionally clean for a 1959 instrument. It does show light age-appropriate marks, small scratches, finish wear and other signs of age, all of which are shown honestly in the photographs. We are not representing it as mint; rather, it is a remarkably well-preserved vintage example.

The original tan hard case is included. The case retains its vintage hardware and interior lining and bears a Sanborn's Home of Music dealer marking. The case shows normal age and wear consistent with its vintage.

This is a particularly appealing opportunity for a collector looking for an unusually well-preserved, very lightly used late-1950s Duo-Sonic with known history and its original case. Please review all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the description.
