Fender Custom Shop '61 Stratocaster Relic Seafoam Green 2007

We have just received a "'61 Stratocaster Relic" model, which as the name suggests, is a reproduction of a 1961 Stratocaster. It is a 2007 model, in Seafoam Green, and weighs 3.58kg.

The bold relic finish is really eye catching but It's also worth noting that the neck is almost completely unreliced!

It features an alder body typical of this era, a solid quarter-sawn maple neck, and a dark brown, glossy rosewood fingerboard. The fingerboard is, as you would expect, a slab board.

The neck shape is a slim C, a the 60s oval C profile. The fretboard radius is approximately 9.5R, and the frets are likely vintage-type that have been refretted to something like medium jumbo frets.
The pickup model is unknown as there are no markings on the back, but it appears to be a "FAT 60s" type pickup. The controls are a 5-way selector, master volume, front tone, and center tone, with the rear pickup having no tone control, a typical setup.

The guitar boasts a rich, resonant harmonic richness, a fast attack, and a slightly higher output, characteristic of higher-end models, making it a sound that suits all genres. The output has a strong core with an overall, clear, crisp, and glossy texture, resulting in a superb guitar that excels both in clean and overdrive sounds when amplified. The acoustic sound is also excellent.

This Custom Shop guitar offers the quintessential Fender tone, playability, and a great relic finish, satisfying the demands of any player.
