5-string Viper Classic with a custom pickup made by Rich Barbera.* The playability is top-notch, thanks to the awesome luthier work of Jamie from Electric Violin Shop. The sound is rich and warm thanks to the Barbera pickup. It has a few minor scratches but everything is completely functional. Violin comes with original soft case and strap.
I'm the original owner, and it has been my main instrument for 5 years. The only reason I'm selling it is because I purchased another Viper with frets. I still love the old one, but I need the cash, and would also feel good if was used and loved by a new owner.
* A note about price and the Barbera pickup: A new 5-string Classic Viper currently goes for $3290. But those come with a Tru-tone pickup, which are widely considered less desirable than the Barbera pickup my violin comes with. The cost for purchasing the Barbera pickup in 2021 was $500, and the installation by Electric Violin Shop was about $150.
