The Martin D-X2E Ziricote Burst Left-Handed is a left-handed dreadnought acoustic-electric guitar from Martin’s X Series. It combines a solid spruce top with ziricote-pattern high-pressure laminate (HPL) back and sides, giving it the appearance of exotic ziricote while making it more durable and resistant to changes in temperature and humidity.

How it sounds
The Dreadnought body gives this Martin a big, loud sound with strong bass and plenty of projection, making it particularly good for strumming, flatpicking, country, folk, rock and singer-songwriter playing. The spruce top provides a balanced combination of bass, mids and treble.
The ziricote HPL is not solid ziricote wood—it's a laminated material with a ziricote appearance. That's actually one of the attractions of the X Series: you get the exotic look and a durable instrument at a substantially lower price than a Martin built with expensive solid exotic woods.

The E-1 system makes it ready for live performance. It includes a chromatic tuner plus volume, tone and phase controls, and feedback-rejection circuitry helps when playing at higher volume.
