Magnecord PT6-V Tube Microphone Preamp Vintage Reel to Reel Mic

This is a vintage PT6-V Magnecord Microphone Preamp / Front End for a Magnecorder Reel to Reel. This is the version to have!

*The PT6-V is the only version that had the bias circuit located in the reel to reel transport unit, so you don't have to worry about removing that. Secondly, the recording EQ curve passive module (the transformer looking can in the very center) is socket mounted so that is easily removed and bypassed. All of this adds up to a relatively easy conversion to an awesome tube preamp. It features a TRIAD output transformer, and an ADC input transformer.

The tube compliment is: Stage 1 - 12ax7, Stage 2 - 12au7, Rectifier - 6X4

I brought it up slowly over a 3 hour period on a variac. It will need to be gone through and recapped. If you are tech savvy, and enjoy bringing gear back to full life, this will be a worthwhile project. I found a schematic, and some other notes which I can forward to you.

I am selling it a lower price to account for it needing refurbishment. The needed parts and a new grounded cord should cost less than $40.
