This was my first electric guitar and I have owned it since 1966. It has been played at many venues and travelled all over the east coast of the United States. It plays flawlessly and stays in tune perfectly. My father worked for PPG and they made the finishes for Gibson, and he ordered it through the VP of that division, with the Gibson vibrola because I wanted it; it is the only one that I have ever seen on a Trini. The original machines wore out, so I replaced them with Schaller minis, and I have and will include all of the original parts. I replaced the nut myself, and put metal saddles on the bridge. The case is the original one with a white replacement handle. There was some work done by Rob Doolittle of Kalamazoo guitars on the bridge pins for better stability when using the vibrola to make it more rigid, and stay in tune better. The pickups and electronics are entirely original. This is a guitar that is meant to be played, it is a player's guitar.
