This guitar was purchased in the winter of 1969 for a 17 year old son by his parents as a Christmas present. In 1971 he decided to strip the body to natural to idolize one of his childhood favorites - about 25 years later he had it returned to the original competition red as seen in the pics.
Repairs/Modifications/Upgrades
- Replaced Bridge (changed to Mastery Bridge M1) December 2024 (original bridge in case)
- Refretted April 2025 by Matt Powell (Jescar 55095)

this guitar is amazing, i'm just selling it as i've sort of transitioned away from the smaller scale length and low output pickups.
it has THE BEST NECK EVER. it feels unbelievable in a way that only 60s fender necks feel. the guitar has that amazing shorter scale length snap, which the pickups only enhance even further.
the fret job is to die for, neck is straight, truss rod works, tuning stability is amazing -- its just a fantastic instrument and everything someone would ever want out of a guitar like this.
take advantage of the fact that i've already spent a bunch of money to make this guitar playable on the highest level without compromising any of its inherent beauty
