2000 Fender Nashville B-Bender Telecaster – Olympic White with Hipshot Helle-Bender & Clapton Mid-Boost

Overview:

Up for sale is a 2000 Fender Nashville B-Bender Telecaster in an Olympic White finish that has aged into a cream hue over the last 26 years. This guitar started as a factory USA-made B-Bender model but has been extensively modified with a stacked secondary bending system and active onboard electronics to expand its mechanical and tonal capabilities.

The Dual-Bending System:

This instrument features a unique dual-system configuration. It contains the factory-installed Parsons/Green internal B-Bender, which is activated traditionally by pulling down on the neck via the top strap button. In addition to the factory setup, a top-mounted Hipshot Will Ray "Helle-Bender" Signature String Bending System has been installed directly behind the bridge. This mechanical arrangement offers a highly versatile array of physical pitch manipulation options, including:

• Strap-Activated B-Bend: Handled internally via the factory Parsons/Green mechanism.
• Dual Palm Levers: Top-facing levers on the Hipshot unit allow independent palm-activated bending.
• Low-E Drop Tuner: A spring-loaded toggle lets you instantly drop the low-E string down to D tuning on the fly.
• Fine-Tuning Thumb Screws: Equipped with color-coded (red and brass) washers for accurate pitch adjustment.

Electronics & Controls:

The electronics have been upgraded with an authentic Eric Clapton 25dB active mid-boost circuit. To accommodate the extra controls, the chrome control plate has been expanded to a clean 3-knob layout:

1. Master Volume: Nearest to the pickup selector switch.
2. Fender TBX Tone Pot: Features a center detent, acting as a standard tone control from 1 to 5, and cutting bass/boosting treble from 5 to 10.
3. Mid-Boost Control: Adjusts the active preamp circuit from a transparent signal up to a 25dB midrange push.

For practical maintenance, a flush-mounted, quick-access 9V battery compartment has been professionally integrated directly into the large chrome Parsons/Green backplate, allowing for straightforward battery changes without removing any hardware.

Condition & Functionality:

The neck is straight, the frets show minimal wear, and the action is set up for comfortable playability. Both the internal factory bender and the external Hipshot assembly function smoothly with solid tuning stability. The modifications are extensive and require body routing, all executed cleanly.
