2006 Gibson J-45 w/travel hard case

03126038...Solid mahogany back and sides under a solid spruce top with rosewood fret board and bridge. The J-45 has long been one of the standard bearers of the Gibson acoustic line, and for good reason. This model delivers tonally whether you are a folkie finger picker, old time strummer, blues picker or rock player. The guitar was well loved by its previous owner and played, so it shows some nicks and scrapes to the finish here and there, but they are superficial and none go through the finish into the wood. If the new owner desired, all of them would likely buff out completely with a little effort. There is what appears to be either a repaired hairline top crack just below the bridge, about 2 1/2" in length, or a hairline lacquer check, difficult to tell which it is. I can't get it to show up well in a photograph as the seam line in the lacquer is very subtle. There's no evidence of repair on the inside (no cleats or support) and it doesn't flex, so it might not be in the wood and just a finish check. There is a small amount of fret wear up through the 6th fret (see pic) and just a hint of wear to the fret board itself. The frets are not worn enough to cause buzzing or intonation issues however. The neck is straight under tension (the truss rod functions properly) and the action is set at 6/64" and 5/64" with a healthy amount of saddle showing above the slot for further adjustment should it be necessary in the future. The intonation is good all over the neck. The guitar's voice is strong and assertive when flat picked and articulate and clear when finger picked. There is an under saddle pickup (active) installed in the guitar, so it is stage ready if you need a gigging guitar. Comes with a light-weight hard foam/nylon covered hard case.
