1995 Gretsch G6119 Tennessee Rose – Pre-FMIC
A great example of an earlier pre-FMIC Tennessee Rose, built at the Terrada facory in Japan in 1995. This era of G6119 has some notable differences from later FMIC-era Tennessee Rose models, including the 25.5" scale length, smaller bound f-holes, and substantial waffle-braced hollowbody construction.
This is not a case-queen or collector piece — it’s a very good-condition, 31-year-old Gretsch that has been played, maintained, and upgraded with some well-chosen player-oriented improvements. It plays well, sounds great, and has been a reliable guitar.

WAFFLE-BRACED PRE-FMIC CONSTRUCTION
One of the more distinctive features of this generation of Tennessee Rose is its substantial waffle-style internal bracing and heavier laminated maple construction. The heavily reinforced body creates a stiff, stable top that helps resist feedback at higher stage volumes while giving these earlier G6119s their own focused, sustaining character.
The smaller fully bound f-holes are another immediately recognizable feature of this earlier pre-FMIC configuration.

CONDITION
Very Good condition overall, especially considering its age.
The guitar shows normal cosmetic wear consistent with a played 1995 instrument, including light scratches, marks and surface wear visible in the photos.
The most notable cosmetic issue is localized finish chipping along the bass/thumb side of the fingerboard near the nut. This is cosmetic and does not affect playability or structural integrity. I have included a close-up photograph specifically showing this area so its condition can be clearly evaluated.
The transparent red finish still presents beautifully and allows the maple grain to show through. Binding, hardware and overall appearance remain very nice for a guitar of this age.
Please review all photographs closely, as they are part of the condition description.
