For sale is an original first-generation DigiTech Whammy WH-1, produced between 1989 and 1993.

This is the highly sought-after original Whammy pedal, renowned for its distinctive early digital pitch-shifting sound and characteristic monophonic tracking. Its expression pedal provides real-time control over pitch bends, harmonies and detuning effects.

The original Whammy became one of the most recognisable effects pedals in modern guitar history and is closely associated with players including Tom Morello, Jonny Greenwood, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and Dimebag Darrell.

Condition

The pedal has been fully tested and is working correctly.

Cosmetically, it displays substantial wear consistent with its age and previous use, including scratches, paint chips, worn graphics and marks across the enclosure and expression pedal. This gives it a genuinely road-worn appearance while retaining the unmistakable look of the original WH-1.

Please inspect all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition description. Additional photographs of any particular area can be provided upon request.
