For sale is a 2017 Fender Custom Shop 1957 Stratocaster Heavy Relic in classic 3-Color Sunburst, serial number R91000. The guitar weighs 7 lb 9 oz.
This is a strong example of a late-'50s style Custom Shop Strat, combining vintage construction and aesthetics with player-friendly specifications including a 9.5" fingerboard radius, 6105 frets, quartersawn maple neck, and hand-wound '50s Strat pickups.
The guitar features a two-piece alder body with Fender's factory Heavy Relic nitro lacquer treatment, along with a quartersawn maple neck carved to a '57-style Soft V profile. The shop traveler specifies a substantial but comfortable .850" neck depth at the 1st fret and .990" at the 12th.
Electronics are a set of Fender Custom Shop hand-wound '50s Strat single-coil pickups with modern wiring and a 5-way selector. Hardware is Fender's aged/relic vintage-style hardware throughout.
The Heavy Relic wear shown in the photos is factory-original and is part of the Custom Shop aging treatment rather than conventional player wear.
Included with the guitar are the original Fender Custom Shop/G&G tweed hardshell case with red interior, with all original case candy including Fender Custom Shop Certificate of Authenticity, original Shop Floor Traveler, and other items shown in the case candy picture. The documentation matches serial number R91000.
