I have owned this for nearly 30 x years. It was bought like it is seen. It was refinished, the original scratch plate has shrunk and now has a Japanese scratch plate. I don’t think the knobs are original. The pickup is 1980’s/1990’s active EMG and the battery fits snug in the control knob cavity. Tuners are still there working fine. The bridge was replaced before I got it. The bass has been serviced over the years by Rohan at Guitar Shop. In the near 30 x years the bass has sat in the late 1990’s Fender bass case. It has seen very little use as I am a 5 string player. None of my family are musicians so no one to pass it down to. The action is fantastic and solid never needed adjusting. The neck is slim and you won’t find another bass with this feel and action - which is one of the reasons I bought the bass. The EMG’s have that “blurby” P bass sound in spades. If you are looking for an immaculate vintage P bass then this is not for you, but if you have always wanted a vintage L series P bass with character and its a suburb player then this could the one of your dreams.
